well, GreenRO is nice... I like the fact that it's more challenging then Squishta... but the big problem is the number of players online at a same time (the max I've seen is "5").. you really need to do something about it... i'm sure a website could help. anyway, I vote for GreenRO! PS. but I miss the @warp command

I can probably make up a half-decent website when I get some time...but what if it doesn't help?
Just a little statistical note, SquishtaRO's population grew at approximately 5 times faster rate than GreenRO (judging by the number of accounts and such). It's probably more than that though...the most people I've seen on at once on GreenRO was probably between 10 and 15...probably nothing more. On SquishtaRO, I think a few times I've seen over 40 during times of WOE(maybe even 50 at one WOE!), but then the population settled down to the 20s and 30s until the computer couldn't handle anymore (and I think if it wasn't for the lag/disconnections, I would think that it wouldn't have dropped as much)...

..as you know, mid-rate servers were always less popular then high-rate. A clear & clean website (with a good publicity) helps those seeking this kind of server. High-rate always will attract players... even if it's ranked 199/200. ...personally, I prefer mid-rates 'cause we see more skilled players... but well, this is just my opinion. - as a webmaster/webdesigner, I'm truly convinced of the impact of a website.

I also feel that "mid"-rates brings more skilled players (one of the reasons I made GreenRO), so when I get some free time, I can make a website...I've just been so swamped with school, especially because it's nearing the end of the semester with a ton of projects due.

er.. didn't you say squishta use to be run on krystals computer? just a suggestion: why don't you let squishta run on one computer and green on another? It was run on Krystal's computer way way back before it was public and only people we knew more personally played...otherwise, here mom was paranoid about the whole thing because of opening ports for the router or some crap...plus it was a hassle for her. When it was a public server, it was run on my crappy "family" computer (that my brothers, sister, and mom use), so that had a lot of problems with it as you could tell before (ie wigger incididents or the computer being too crappy to even handle a server) so I definately don't want to try that computer again. Now is my personal computer that GreenRO is run on...there is no way in hell I'm running 2 computers on this. I just figured that I'm not home all that much and am not on my computer, so hosting the server wouldn't hurt too much (one of the main reasons I re-opened a server) and would be easier to maintain because if I'm on a computer, it's going to be mine (one of the problems with SquishtaRO was having to wait for people to get off the computer and stuff like that).

Even if we get a good website up and running, it doesn't always means that it will bring in more people (but I am for the idea, don't get me wrong). -- For bringing more experienced players, not to be rude, but they also *sometimes* carry over "stuck-up atittudes" Erm yeah, I've had a few run-in's in other servers, and it pretty much pisses me off >_>;; I mean, why tell us how to make our own character builds? It's like a walking-talking-walk-through on the how-to in making a certain class Experiment people! Experiment! ;D

I've noticed that some players who have "played since beta" act like they know everything about RO and as if they are royalty or something. I know a lot of people that if they're "better than you" and kill you in PvP will just be an ass about it instead of a good sport...I guess SquishtaRO brought a variety of players aboard, so those asses can be brought down more easily by a group of people who don't like them I guess...but yeah, I get what you're saying, I know from experience (even though I'm not bad at RO at all )...of course a level 255 assassin is going to kill a level 120 clown most of the time.

It's probably safe to say that WOE was a lot better on SquishtaRO too...this was already discusses, right?
