Sehkmet, one of the reasons peopel didnt' like HTF was yes, they got pwned at every turn and yes, you guys didn't even break a sweat. It was like click *dead* F.UGGGGGGGGGGG, ZOMG ZOMG HAXOR. But then there's also the flip side. If people tried to learn, if people were willing to come up to you and ask about what you do, and how to do it, most of you woulnd't even give a hint, or even answer politely! It was always ZOMG STFU you bloody nooob *followed by exactly the same attitutde and speakign style that you posted"... escapes me, and his girlfriend, whom D-Boy and I had known for roughly a year and a half before she decided that OMG LIKE I should TOTALLY go with like how my like BOYFRIEND feels about like the like people I like knew for like a long time tee-hee that's hot I'm a simpering bubblehead ^____^" You see the bigger picture now? I was Blargenthrop XD thankfully i was one of the onyl ones taht didn't bother you and just sat and chatted. Yea you gusy WEERE pretty cool *thumbs up* but sometimes when you saw someone u guys dindt' like it even hurt ME the way you guys treated them XD it was THAT bad, i sorta flinched after every sentence. Dont' get me wrong, not all of you were liek that, ut Sehkmet you adn yoru wicked tongue and i fergot who that assassin was... Cookie was it? you two coudl flay the flesh off players from their computer screens! Anybody can be nice to their friends, in fact, Hitler, Saddam, Anton Levey (dunno if that's hwo you spell it but thats' the starter of the Satanic Church), Mr.Dictator.Kill.Any.Who.Opposes.Him. All of these people treat their friends, and the peopel they like, well. That's not what makes you cool or nice. You're cool if you treat EVERYONE the same way you would treat your friends. Ya i'm sorry if you guys are getting annoyed at the lecturing hahahahaha but i just had to say it after Sehkmet's sudden outburst of flaming XD And what's with saying nobody mattered (except for, again, the people you liked) that's just.... treating eveyone else sub-human just because you feel superior to them isn't "cool" man. And then you STILL wonder why people hated HTF? (getting pwned everytime u stepped into WoE or pvp helped, it's like going into CS with a bunch of hackers or with peopel that are WAY UP THERE in the skillz department) (OOOO good aaolgy coming! I play lineage 2 too! (hooray) and its' like sending a bunch of Treasure Hunters runnning from as far as possible towards a bunch of Spellhowlers, Spellsingers, or Sorcerers. Who wins? XD Maybe yes, you gusy are jsut terribly skilled! but that doesnt' mean people will LIKE it that they ahve NO fighting chance) WHOA, there's MY two-cents after being inactive and playing lineage 2 for so long XD And yea, i might be playing Squishie too i lurves high rates XD But i'll probably get pwned by serious RO players liek Sehk and Cookie, O WELLS! I'll just have fun killing baphoes and other MVPS XD ciao ciao Hovie

You missed a couple of things while you were building your opinion of HTF:
1. We do know why people hated HTF. 1a. We don't care. 1b. We also don't care about being cool, or nice, or looking cool, or nice.
2. The people who came up to us and asked to teach them how to PVP weren't worthy of it. The people who picked themselves up, dusted themselves off, observed our tactics and threw themselves at us again and again until they were the ones rolling us did. Conveniently, that's also the only way to learn how to PVP. No words or detailed instructions needed. Just one thing most players sorely lack: Intelligence. I don't see the need to shell out tactical information to spineless curs that want to eat dessert before their dinner.
3. Pay closer attention, please. We'd war with Arcane and The Returners on a regular basis, but we were never nasty to them outside of the arena. The people that we laid into in public earned our animosity tenfold; the rest we didn't bother snarling at, as YOU pointed out. Out of morbid curiosity, though, who do you have in mind when you say that?
4. I meant Tenketsu and That Chick didn't matter. Learn2read.
5. Hoho, Lineage analogy. The mages aren't picking a single target and using /assist like they should be. oh, nor are they having the SH cast Slow on the main target while the SPS casts Sleeping Cloud on the others. (Running off the assumption that these are not the smart THs that use Nightmare Light while fighting a mage class, because most THs are terminally stupid.) As a note, no, I didn't miss the point. Just saying you made a bad analogy. Maybe three archers versus three robe-wearing buffers would've been better. <3
5a. As another note note, that? Was and was not our fault. We knew what we were doing. We weren't invincible. Everybody made a choice when they got killed by us: Learn, or die again. Their choice was entirely their doing, and not our responsibility. We are not going to start treating people politely because dey feww down and huwted deir bum-bums after they tried to kill us. If you want that kind of behavior in a PVP guild, make your own, but don't act like we have to conform to your standards of behavior because you don't think we're being nice enough. PVP guilds are not civil servants sent to uphold truth and honor and good manners. You may have missed the memo.
and finally, 6. Godwin's Law = automatic lose.

Even though I've never played on Squishta, I'm actually going to vote for it. I think playing on a high-rate server would be ALOT more fun(or at least for me, I'm the instant-gratification type and a procrastinator >_>). Sure half the items wouldn't be as rare, but it seems a lot more people played Squista. Most people I've ever seen on Green at once was 14, I think. It'd be fantastic to have a higher online average, plus the wipe 'd mean that I'd be playing with people my level.
I'm for Squishta.

Do you guys think there should even be a wipe? I said something about this in that one other thread, but it's sort of like...stuff that people got on GreenRO sort of was harder to get than it would if you raise the rates...so I'm just thinking that maybe there doesn't really need to be a total wipe. I can see it definately if it was the other way around...think of going from 500 to 5...but 500 to 5000? I pretty much have 3 main reasons to do a wipe...I probably don't need to mention 2, but I sort of thought starting fresh might be kind of fun, but I kind of feel bad that a few people actually did put some work into GreenRO and just giving tokens might not work out for them maybe, ya know? Also...255 will be the maximum level, so no one is going to start off maxed... A minor small note...it's been about 3 months since GreenRO opened and SquishtaRO was open publically for about 4 months(it's been a year since it was actully made!)...by this time on SquishtaRO, things were a lot more interesting...including WOE *cough it kinda sucks here cough* Maybe higher rates are more ideal for smaller servers, eh?

What if it's half a wipe? You wipe the characters, but not the accounts, and you restore the impossible-to-get-otherwise stuff when the server comes back up?

i was looking at the squistaRO Age 2 website... it looks great but i don't like the token system >.> i doubt there are gonna be many events and i doubt we can get 30-60 tokens x.X The "token" prices aren't final yet, but with events, depending on how big it will be will vary how many tokens you get...so winning a good event can just as well get you 30-60 tokens. If we think about it like "well normally I'd give this item for this event, but it's worth this many tokens" so it gives you guys a chance to save them up from (from smaller and bigger events), choose exactly what prize you want (and maybe a little more than that too, like gold bars or zeny for example). The way I think about it is that it's a good medium of exchange and leaves more options open for winning events...more time too so you don't have to decide right away what you want when given the choice and then forgotten about because you forgot that you even won an event (this has happened). I'll also try to figure out other ways to get tokens besides events too. Maybe in-game quests or something, who knows...anyone use the OBB quest in iRO? Maybe something like that, except not...as crappy. I'm also thinking of trying to make a "perfect upgrade" item work, where you can get a +1 upgrade to any equipment and not have it break no matter what (but won't go over 10 still). I like this because I used to always do my "guess the password for +2 upgrade" things...so I can probably give those instead.

hm, am i the only person to prefer pvm over pvp?
personally, i don't care for pvp at all. If anyone asked me to pvp i'd refuse. I enjoy solo better than parties, so green ro works fine for me. i don't care if anyone is on. I did manage to get 3 chars all over 90, highest being 115. must sound like chump change for the hard core players, but that's a personal best for me. but that's considering i play about 4 hours a week average.
I wouldn't mind squista, but what bothers me is once again tokens, i had a rather large storage full of stuffs, but not necessarily rare things, and also the erroring. I've actually played since beta, no i'm not bragging, but i can say i've had my share of erroring out. So, i like green. When i first started playing green, i was so suprised how i could level to 90 in two hours. to me, "mid" rates are fine.
go for squishta. If green is gone then it's gone. i don't know, i guess all i'm trying to say is that there are still people who just pvm and collect items only. imo though, i thought green was a challenge for items and i did wish i could get some thing easier.
